Personal profile

Dr Yunqing Xu joined the Department of Urban Planning and Design since 2013. She is also the Director for University Research Centre for Urban and Environmental Studies (UES). https://www.xjtlu.edu.cn/en/research/research-centres/ues/ She got her PhD in real estate management from Oxford Brookes University, UK. Previous work experience include international organisation (UN-HABITAT headquarter in Kenya, Africa), university visiting lecturer (Oxford Brookes and Northumbria), senior research consultant for property companies (Winkworth Franchising, UK and Zerstart, China). Her expertise lies in planning and property development, land and housing policies, property-led urban (re)development, discretionary planning, sustainable and livable cities. Dr Xu also serves as procurement selective review expert for Suzhou government.She welcomes enquiries for PhD supervision in the below areas of research interests.
