A highly accomplished academic co-ordinator, well respected researcher and innovative lecturer with extensive experience in university senior management.A skilled engineer and experienced project manager able to design, manage and solve product and manufacturing issues.Since August 2007, Prof. Lim has been at Xian Jiaotong-Liverpool University, where he was formally the head of EEE department and University Dean of Research and Graduate studies. Now, he is Inaugural School Dean of Advanced Technology, Inaugural director of AI university research centre and also professor in department of Communications and Networking. He has published nearly 200 refereed international journals and conference papers. His research interests are Artificial Intelligence, robotics, AI+ Health care, international Standard (ISO/ IEC) in Robotics, antennas, RF/microwave engineering, EM measurements/simulations, energy harvesting, power/energy transfer, smart-grid communication; wireless communication networks for smart and green cities. He is a charter engineer and Fellow of IET and IEAust. In addition, he is also a senior Fellow of HEA and senior member of IEEE.
Research interests
Research focus in the following subject areas with a tendency towards teaching in related subjects: Artificial intelligence, AI+ Health care, Robotics, Smart home, RF and Microwave applications including: antennas; filters; diplexers; couplers; RFID; UWB; WIMAX; 3G/4G/5G mobile communication networks; wireless capsule endoscopy; EM measurement and simulation; co-operative and cognitive wireless communication networks; smart-grid communication; robotics networking technology; wireless communication networks for smart and green cities (e.g. mobile APP, public transportation information).
