Dr. Yuelin Shen is Senior Associate Professor at the School of Intelligent Finance and Business, Xian-Jiaotong Liverpool University. He obtained his Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Operation Management from Boston University in 2004. After shortly teaching abroad, he started to teach in mainland China in 2007. His main research interests are in the areas of supply chain management and digital economy. He has published in Production and Operations Management, Informs Journal on Computing, Electronic Commerce Research and Applications, and among other journals. His research has been supported by grants from National Science Foundation of China. Dr. Shens current research interests are in two directions: (1) how the intelligent technologies, e. g. AI and blockchain, facilitate supply chain management; and (2) the new business models arising from the digital economy in China. For those who intend to pursue a doctorate degree with Dr. Shen, it is beneficial if you have some background at least in one discipline of economics, engineering/computer science, and operations research.
