Lin Ma is a dedicated language lecturer at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, where she brings a wealth of experience and expertise in English for Academic Purposes (EAP). She has achieved the status of Fellow of Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and is an active member of the Applied English Committee in Jiangsu Vocational Education in China. Prior to her current role, she served as the deputy dean in the School of Liberal Arts at Suzhou Centennial College, where she played a key role in curriculum development and educational leadership.


Lin has a robust academic and professional background, having completed TESOL courses accredited by Centennial College in Toronto, Canada, obtained Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Supporting Learning in Higher Education (Distinction), CELTA (Pass A) and the Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) accredited from ISW Network in Canada. She has earned numerous awards, including recognition from the Provincial Foreign Language Teaching Competition. Lin has led multiple educational reform projects focused on English as a Second Language (ESL) at both provincial and college levels, demonstrating her commitment to enhancing language education. Her work was further acknowledged when she received the Second Prize for Excellent Essay awarded by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education.


Her primary research interests lie in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) pedagogy, assessment, and computer-assisted language learning (CALL). Lin is passionate about exploring innovative teaching methods and integrating technology to improve language learning outcomes.
