Personal profile

Dr. Xinning Wang obtained her PhD in Resource and Environmental Planning from Massey University, New Zealand in 2023. During her doctoral studies, she developed an interdisciplinary theoretical lens encompassing political-institutional, financial, and social aspects, to explore the complexities of cross-sector partnerships among various stakeholders in the field of transportation planning. Her research received funding from several international academic societies, including WCTR, IRSPM, IACP, and NZGS, supporting her to present research findings at the top international academic conferences.

Prior to joining XJTLU, she served as a strategic researcher at Westlake University, participating in several research projects related to industrial development and innovation ecosystems, as well as the writing of policy reports, which provided references for governmental decision-making.

Dr. Xinning Wang's research focuses on collaborative planning and governance, transportation/urban planning and policy, and industrial ecosystem.
