Dr. Lei Jin is the Assistant Professor at the Department of the Educational Studies in the Academy of Future Education at XJTLU. Dr. Jin received her master's degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Colorado and her doctoral degree in Human Development and Family Science from Syracuse University. Before joining XJTLU, Dr. Jin served as the Clinical Lead at a multi-disciplinary, educational service organization, which is one of the first social enterprises in China to provide high-quality special education, developmental, behavioral, and mental health services to local and international families and children in Shanghai and the Greater China area. Dr. Jin is also a qualified examiner to provide psycho-educational assessments (e.g., WISC-4/WISC-5, WIAT-3, and ABAS-3) in Mandarin and English, in particular for children with learning difficulties as well as Autism and ADHD. Dr. Jin's research interests include examining the impact of the acculturation process on family relationships and individual psychological adjustment in Asian immigrant and transnational families. Additionally, Dr. Jin is interested in assessing how sociocultural factors and individual child-level characteristics shape children’s growth in the Chinese context.
