Dr. Xiaojun Zhang (张霄军) is an associate professor at Xian Jiaotong-Liverpool University (China) and an honorary associate at University of Liverpool (UK). He is the adjunct professor of Open University of Cyprus (Cyprus) and Northwestern Polytechnical University (China). He was an academic staff and researcher at high education institutes in China, Ireland and UK after he obtained his PhD degree in computational linguistics in 2008. He was a lecturer in translation and interpreting studies and a joint programme director at University of Stirling, UK, before he joined XJTLU as the subject leader in translation technology in 2018. He is the deputy chairman of Translation Technology Education Society affiliated to WITTA (World Interpreting and Translation Teaching Association) and member of professional conduct committee of Association of Computational Linguistics (ACL). he is the scientific members for the top conferences in natural language processing such as LREC, CWMT, CCL, EMNLP and AACL. He is the peer-reviewer for international and national journals. His research interesting covers translation technology, natural language processing and practical translation.
