Dr. Huang is currently an Assistant Professor at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, Suzhou, China. He also serves as the Director of Social Entrepreneurship Research Centre. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the School of Management (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA, CEEMAN IQA and CAMEA accredited) at Zhejiang University. His research spans topics in Entrepreneurship and Organizational Behavior, with particular interests in the micro-foundation of entrepreneurship and the interpersonal side of individual workplace behaviors in the era of digitalization and artificial intelligence.

His work has been published and presented in journals and conferences such as The International Journal of Human Resource Management, Ethics Behavior, Chinese Journal of Applied Psychology, Psychology in China Social Science Excellence (reprinted journal), AoM Annual Meeting, IACMR Biennial Conference, AIB Asia Pacific Regional Conference, EIASM, ESI, etc. His dissertation won the Chinese Annual Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award. He has also hosted or participated in several research projects sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Zhejiang Provincial Philosophy and Social Science Foundation of China, the Science Technology Department and Education Department of Zhejiang Province, and McGill University.

Dr. Huang is the Liaison Officer in Zhejiang Province for IACMR. As for entrepreneurial practice, he co-founded two new ventures and currently also serves as a consultant for some domestic start-ups. Regarding human resource management practice, he has several consulting experiences in tourism, transportation, education training, and medical industries. He also takes the role of entrepreneurship mentor at government-backed incubators in Suzhou as well as Shanghai. Concerning teaching, he co-developed an English-taught course on innovative management models for undergraduate programmes with the collaboration of Haier.
