Sheng Zhao (赵晟), Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), and Deputy Program Director of the MSc Business Analytics program at the International Business School Suzhou (IBSS). He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh in 2019 and subsequently joined XJTLU. His primary research areas include credit/banking risk management, corporate finance, and regional/urban/energy economics.
He has published multiple academic papers in internationally renowned journals, such as:
- ABS 3-star journals (Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money; Environmental and Resource Economics; European Journal of Finance; International Review of Financial Analysis; International Journal of Finance and Economics)
- ABDC-A rated journal (International Review of Economics and Finance)
- CAS Zone 1 journal (Journal of Cleaner Production)
He has previously led a research project funded by the Suzhou Social Science Fund (completed).
Sheng has taught Quantitative Methods (undergraduate level) and Macroeconomics (master's level) as module leader, and serves as a core instructor for dissertation project of the MSc Business Analytics program. He has supervised one Ph.D. student and welcomes new doctoral applicants.
赵晟,现任西交利物浦大学经济系助理教授,同时担任西浦国际商学院商务分析硕士专业副主任。2019年5月获爱丁堡大学博士学位后加入西交利物浦大学,致力于信用风险、公司金融及区域能源经济学等领域的研究。
其研究成果发表于多本国际权威期刊,包括:ABS 3星级期刊(如《Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money》《Environmental and Resource Economics》《European Journal of Finance》《International Review of Financial Analysis》《International Journal of Finance and Economics》; ABDC-A类期刊(《International Review of Economics and Finance》)以及中科院一区期刊(《Journal of Cleaner Production》)等。曾作为负责人完成苏州市社科基金项目一项(已结项)。
主讲本科阶段《数量分析》、硕士阶段《宏观经济学》,并作为任课教师承担商务分析硕士论文项目课程。具备以主要导师指导博士生经验,并欢迎博士生申请。
