Dr. Jing Wu is an Assistant Professor at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. She received her Ph.D. degree in Spatial Planning and Environment at the University of Groningen (the Netherlands) in 2021. Her research focuses on governing the energy transition, integrated energy planning, and sustainable urban development.
She has a particular interest in theories of complexity sciences, decentralization, transitions and management. She has published several first-authored articles in leading international journals, such as Energy Policy, Journal of Cleaner Production, Cities, and Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews. Additionally, her PhD thesis has been published in AESOP InPlanning.
In addition to the academic expertise, Dr. Wu worked as a senior consultant at Savills (one of the world's leading property advisors), and has engaged in multiple consultancy projects on regional/urban development, strategic community planning, and real estate property in domestic and overseas markets. Identifying theory-practice gap in energy transition, she dedicates to narrowing down the gap and empowering the practices with more meaningful studies.
