Description
The acceptance of renewable energy (RE) technologies in China is shaped by complex social dynamics and diverse influencing factors. Despite China's ambitious policy commitments and investments in renewable energy, social acceptance remains uncertain and warrants further investigation. This study aims to explore the critical factors influencing Chinese consumers' intention to adopt renewable energy technologies. Building upon the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), the research integrates three additional dimensions: perception of self-effectiveness, beliefs about renewable energy benefits, and perceptions of neighbor participation. The results will provide insights into key motivators and barriers to renewable energy acceptance, offering policymakers and stakeholders valuable guidance on designing targeted interventions to promote sustainable energy practices and foster greater public engagement with renewable energy initiatives in China.
