Personal profile
Jared (LIU, XU) believes that a good English teacher should be professionally trained. When he started his undergraduate studies in 2012 in China, he chose English as his major and undertook a series of English courses as a tutor either on campus or outside his university. Later, he studied the Postgraduate Diploma course in English as Second Language Teaching (ESOL) and Masters course in Applied Linguistics at the University of Waikato in New Zealand.Jared is passionate about English language teaching! He has been involved in the field of English language teaching for a long time and has gained relevant experience from a range of English classrooms, in particular, he has been teaching the (both online and on-site) course about IELTS and Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) for over 5 years. In 2020, as an English teacher, he joined the English Language Center of Shantou University in China. English now is not only a language belonging to a minor group, but a key to the door of international information communication and cultural experience. Therefore, Jared holds a teaching belief in imparting students with solid English language competences in a critical way to help them form an in-depth comprehension about English literature and culture.
