Dr. Jie Zhang is the Associate Professor of XJTLU Wisdom Lake Academy of Pharmacy. She obtained her PhD with Professor Xuetao Pei from Academy of Military Medical Science, investigating stem cell differentiation. She then worked as the Associate Director of RD Center at 3SBio Group. Her research aimed around biopharmaceutical screening and gene reconstruction.Dr. Jie Zhang became an entrepreneur afterward and founded NEST Biotech, UP-Pharma, and Planter Stem Cell Biotech, which covered the application of Biotech into cell culture consumables, GLP-complied large molecule pharmacokinetics outsourcing, and TCM cultivation. Since 2009, her research interests have been aiming at Plant Stem Cell-originated TCM Cultivation. She has developed a TCM large-scale production platform based on plant stem cell biopharmaceutical techniques.Dr. Zhangs research mainly focuses on the following directions: • Mechanism of skin/mucosa inflammation • Multi-omics study of inflammation • TCM metabonomics
