Dr. Jieming Ma received his MSc degree in Advanced Microelectronic Systems Engineering from the University of Bristol, UK, in 2010, and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Liverpool, UK, in 2014. He is currently an Associate Professor at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) and serves as the Associate Dean of the Academy of Artificial Intelligence.Dr. Ma actively engages in industry-academia-research collaboration. In 2023, he successfully established the XJTLU-Baidu Artificial Intelligence Innovation Consortium. In 2024, he partnered with Inovance Technology Co., Ltd. to co-found the Suzhou Low Carbon Zero Carbon Intelligent Key Technology Innovation Consortium. This year, he also launched the XJTLU-Zooming NewEnergy Joint Laboratory at the university level, where he currently serves as the director.
    
Dr. Ma's research focuses on machine learning, intelligent optimization, and their applications in renewable energy systems. He has published over 100 research articles in prestigious international journals and conferences, including IEEE TPE, TCS I, IEEE TIA, and Solar Energy. One of his research articles was recognized as an ESI Highly Cited Paper. He has successfully led and completed more than 30 research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province (NSFJS), and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD).
    
Dr. Ma is a Senior Member of IEEE and CCF and has served as an Executive Board Member of the CCF Suzhou Branch, as well as on the Education Committee. He also serves as the Director of the Suzhou Computer Society. Additionally, he has chaired over five international conferences, served on more than ten international conference committees, and participated in five editorial boards.
    
Under Dr. Ma's supervision, more than 60 students have won a total of 86 awards in various academic competitions, including 3 National First Prizes, 5 National Second Prizes, and 19 Provincial First Prizes. His dedication to teaching has been recognized by officials from the Jiangsu Education Department, and he has been honored with several awards, including the "Lan Qiao Cup Excellent Advisor" (2018-2023), "Young-Aged Cadre Teacher of Jiangsu Province Qinglan Talent Program" (2019), and "Middle- and Young-Aged Academic Leader of Qinglan Talent Program" (2023).
