Personal profile

Personal profile

Dr. Danlei Li joined Chemistry department at XJTLU in 2022. She obtained her Ph.D degree in 2020 under the supervision of Professor Richard Compton at Oxford University with full scholarships – ‘China Scholarship Council – University of Oxford Scholarships’. After that, she worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the same group.Danlei’s research focuses on both fundamental and applied electrochemistry including electroanalysis and electrocatalysis. She is particularly interested in investigations on electrochemical behaviours of various nanomaterials from both macroscale and microscale to provide better understanding for their further use in electrochemical sensors, fuel cells, redox flow batteries etc.One fully funded PhD position has now been filled. Please drop an email for potential interests in PhDs, masters as well as summer students.

Research interests

Fundamental electrochemistry: study of electrode kinetics at electrode-electrolyte interface from theoretical and experimental aspects

Electroanalysis: development of electrochemical sensors in environmental and biological systems, such as pH sensors, phosphate sensors, arsenic sensors and oxygen sensors.
