Xia Huang received her bachelor degree in Physics from Beijing Normal University, master degree in Semiconductor Science from Chinese Academy of Sciences, and PhD degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Sheffield working with Prof. Neil Hunter, FRS. She has worked for the world leading spectroscopy company HOIRBA and focused on spectral technology development. She then served as an Associate Researcher at SIBET, Chinese Academy of Sciences. She is now an Assistant Professor at Department of Biological Sciences, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. Xia Huang has worked on fabrication of artificial light-harvesting systems for energy transfer studies for a long time, such as nano-patterning protein complexes on different surfaces for solar energy harvesting and storage. She is also interested in 3D microfluidic cell culture for tumour invasion and drug screening study. She has applied for more than 10 Chinese patents and published more than 10 peer-reviewed papers, such as Nat Communications, Nature Plants and Lab on a Chip. 已申请专利十余项、发表论文十余篇(包括 Nat Communications, Nature Plants, Lab on a Chip)。
