Dr. Samuel Kwok FCA is a DProf who graduated from Middlesex University, London, with a Doctorate in Sociology (Branding Policy) under Gertrude Shotte's supervision. He opened a new avenue in the role-based narrative policy framework, and the Policy-actors group research for branding policy development.  Dr Kwok is an expert in the international bullion market.  He has acted as the chief advisor for the Hong Kong Gold Exchange's Hong Kong-Shenzhen 'GoldConnect' project.  His monograph Strategy of China Bullion Market Integration and its Financial Impact published by People’s Daily Press, China, highlights his exceptional expertise in the field.   Dr. Kwok is a fellow member of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), UK. He has edited three books and serves on the editorial boards of several academic journals.   He conducts educational research, industry analysis and authoring business cases, with a reprinted version published internationally.

Dr Kwok is a BIG-Four (namely Deloitte and KPMG) trained UK Chartered Accountant who is a member of Chartered Accountants Worldwide (CAW).  His name is listed as an FCA on the FCA Register in the UK. He is also a BFP (ICAEW), FCCA, HKICPA and FAIA(Acad).  Dr. Kwok has been a member of the Institute of Certified E-Commerce Consultants (ICEC) in the USA since completing his graduate education. He holds a Master's degree in E-Commerce and Internet Computing (MSc) from the School of Computing & Data Science at the University of Hong Kong. In addition, he earned an MBA in Marketing in Scotland.

Samuel, currently Deputy Head of the Department of Accounting, has been the Director of the MSc Professional Accounting programme (AY2018/19 to AY2023/24).  Dr. Kwok served as the Academic Director of Executive Education from 2018 to 2019, overseeing corporate training programs for CRRC, Sodexo, Santoni, and others. His perspectives have been featured by major national and international media outlets, including Xinhua News Agency, 21st Century Business Herald, The Campus (TIMES Higher Education), The Conversation UK, and Channel News Asia.
