Personal profile

I have an academic background in sociology and criminology. I apply criminological theories for my research into information systems security (IS security). My primary area of research covers the area of insider computer abuse (ICA). Hence, I research the decision-making processes and behaviours of those individuals who commit ICA within the organisational context. At IBSS, I teach qualitative research methods at both the under-graduate (BUS231) and post-graduate (BUS902) levels. In November 2020 I was appointed Director of the Management MRes and in October 2021 I was also appointed Director of Post Graduate Research.
