Dr. Hadyan Hafizh is an Assistant Professor in the School of Internet of Things at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. Before joining XJTLU, he worked as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Manufacturing Engineering Technology at the Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka. In 2015, Hadyan completed his PhD from Kyoto University and has recently focused on the use of IoT and AI technologies in manufacturing industry. His research lies within Industrial IoT, specifically the convergence of operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT). Toward this, most of his projects concern the development of unified framework that integrates the elements in the automation layer of manufacturing and production processes. Other current research interests include the practical application of IoT and AI technologies in the aerospace and civil engineering industries. He is always interested in collaborating with and mentoring students on new and exciting projects. He is a member of the International Association of Engineers, a Member of Japan Society of Civil Engineers, and a Registered Engineering Technologist with the Board of Engineers Malaysia. He is also a Certified Internet of Things Specialist and a Certified Data Science Specialist.
