Alessandro Cece is Associate Professor at Xian Jiaotong-Liverpool University, in the Department of Architecture. He received a Master degree in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture Luigi Vanvitelli Second University of Naples Italy, and a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from the GSAPP at Columbia University in New York City USA. He holds a PhD in Architectural and Urban Design from S.U.N. Italy.He has an extensive teaching experience: he worked as an assistant teacher at the Faculty of Architecture of the Second University of Naples Italy, as an instructor at Iowa State University, College of Design in Rome, and as an assistant professor at Ajman University UAE.His theoretical and practical research activities include the History and Theory of Modern and Contemporary Architecture and Typological Studies. He has also achieved design research through close collaboration with Peter Eisenman at Eisenman Architects. He participated in major international commissions and competitions such as Il Nuovo Palazzo del Cinema ed Aree Limitrofe in Venice Italy, the “Train Station of Circumvesuviana Pompei Santuario” in Pompei Italy, the exhibit “Peter Eisenman, Barefoot On White-Hot Walls” at the MAK of Wien Austria. He is a licensed architect in Italy - Ordine degli architetti P.P.C. della Provincia di Caserta”. As an author and designer, he has published for several international publishers and has been editor of the Middle East International Architectural Magazine Compasses.
