Personal profile

Ziyin joined XJTLU as an assistant professor of Accounting in 2022 after she graduated with her Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of North Texas (UNT) in the same year. She also earned a Master of Science in Accounting and a Master of Science in Information Technology Management from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2016 and 2017, respectively. During her Master studies, Ziyin simultaneously worked as a full-time financial data analyst primarily serving the medical technology industry for two years. Ziyin’s research interests include accounting information systems (AIS) and ethics topics with a behavioral and decision-making focus, and has published in journals such as the Accounting Horizons. Before joining XJTLU, Ziyin had taught at UNT as a teaching fellow. When not working, Ziyin loves spending time with family and friends, traveling, and golfing.

Experimental accounting information systems (AIS) and ethics topics with a behavioral focus, for example:

the effect of information content, presentation, medium, and new technology on non-professional investor, auditor, and managers’ judgment and decision-making
