Dr. Xuan Xue is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Materials Science at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) in Suzhou, China. She earned her PhD from the University of Nottingham (UK) with a full Overseas Research Scholarship (ORS). Following her doctoral studies, she gained extensive experience in both academia and industrial R&D. Her research spans a broad range of interdisciplinary fields, including polymer chemistry, surface chemistry, materials science, 3D printing, tissue engineering, microbiology and virology.
Currently, she collaborates closely with virology experts on high-throughput screening of virucidal polymers, followed by mechanism studies and applied research.
Additionally, her research also focuses on developing 2D material-based working fluids (e.g., MXene) stabilized by polymeric Pickering emulsifiers for solar PV/T applications.
