Dr Tong He (Sophie) is an Assistant Professor at Entrepreneur College (Taicang), Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. Her research interests lie in digital entrepreneurship, responsible digital innovation, platform ecosystem governance, social enterprise sustainability, and entrepreneur education. Her research has been published in high-impact business and information system-related journals, including Technological Forecasting and Societal Change, Internet Research, and Electronic Commerce Research, and has been sponsored by the International Association for Chinese Management Research (IACMR). Prior to joining XJTLU, Sophie earned her Ph.D. from the University of Nottingham with a full doctoral scholarship. She completed her master’s degree at Imperial College London with half a scholarship, specializing in Economics and Business Strategy. She also holds a first-class honours degree in Finance, Accounting and Management for an undergraduate degree. Sophie adopts a pedagogical approach rooted in student-centred experiential learning. As a business educator, researcher, and EdTech enthusiast, Sophie is passionate to elevate the caliber of higher education by harnessing innovative technologies to create immersive entrepreneurship experiences.
