Dr. Myeongsu [should be pronounced m-Young Sue] Seong [should be pronounced as ‘Sung’ (the past participle form of English verb ‘Sing’)] is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechatronics and Robotics, School of Advanced Technology, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) from August 2023. In 2018, Dr. Seong received his Ph.D. from the Department of Biomedical Science and Engineering, Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, Gwangju, Republic of Korea. Before joining XJTLU, Dr. Seong worked as an Associate Professor at the Research Center for Intelligent Information Technology, Nantong University, Nantong, Jiangsu, China from December 2020 to June 2023. Dr. Seong has received multiple awards and distinctions including Jiangsu Foreign Expert Workshop (江苏省外国专家工作室) as the leading scientist from Jiangsu Province, Young Foreign Talent Plan of National Foreign Expert Project (国家外国专家项目中“外国青年人才计划”) from the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, and Global Ph.D. Fellowship from the National Research Foundation of Korea. Dr. Seong’s research interest includes the development of new opto-mechatronic imaging/spectroscopic and therapeutic systems which can be used in both preclinical and clinical studies, relevant signal/image processing methods, and applications of the developed systems in neurology or oncology studies for the translation of the systems to the clinics.If you are interested in studying/conducting research with me or collaborating with me, please feel free to contact me via my email shown below.
