Jie Chen received a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from Nanyang Technological University. He got his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees of Computational Mathematics from Nanjing University. Currently, Jie Chen is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Xian Jiaotong-Liverpool University. Prior to that, he worked at Xi’an Jiaotong University as an Associate Professor. Jie Chen’s research interests include finite element methods, computational fluid dynamics, numerical oil reservoir simulations, machine learning and its application in scientific computation.
