Dr. Bo Xiao is currently an Assistant Professor at the School of Robotics, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU). He received his Ph.D. in Robotics and Control from King’s College London (KCL), and subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at both the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Imperial College London (ICL).
Dr. Xiao's research lies at the intersection of medical robotics, artificial intelligence, and intelligent control systems. He has been involved in numerous high-impact international research initiatives, including projects funded by Singaporean agencies, the U.S. Office of Naval Research, the UK Research Councils, and the European Union. Collectively, these projects amount to over £19 million in research funding.
He has published more than 60 peer-reviewed papers, including 14 first-author papers with 9 in top-tier journals (e.g., IEEE Transactions). His work has been cited over 1,800 times, with an H-index of 23 and i10-index of 40. He also serves as a guest editor and organizer for leading international conferences such as IEEE TFS, IEEE ICRA and WCCI.
