Bastian Steudel is interested in biodiversity-ecosystem functioning with a focus on aquatic model systems. He aims to explore the underlying mechanisms of biodiversity effects and studied biology at the University of Goettingen, Germany. After he received his PhD at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, he went back to Goettingen for a Postdoc Research fellowship and the development of a new bioreactor for microalgae culturing.
