N2 - In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, an increasing number of individuals in China are being encouraged to engage in entrepreneurial activities. However, considering the global reality that only about 10% of startups succeed, it is imperative to investigate the factors that influence entrepreneurial success. In an era characterized by rapid advancements in AI technology, the human factors intrinsic to entrepreneurs must not be overlooked. Simultaneously, how AI technology can contribute to the success of resource-constrained small startups also presents a research question. This paper considers both personal attributes of entrepreneurs and technological aspects. The aim of this research is to investigate the intertwined influences of entrepreneurs’ hidden competencies and AI integration on shaping entrepreneurial success, and the primary focus of this article is to delineate a conceptual framework.
