Abstract
This chapter begins with an overview of the situation in translator training, with special reference to universities in China during the first decade of the century that witnessed a rapid and continued development of translation programmes. It demonstrates the desirability and feasibility of introducing an electronic mode of teaching and learning in translator education following the report in Chapter 7, by presenting a more detailed outline of the operational features of ClinkNotes as a computer-aided tool for the teaching and (self-)learning of translation with a more focused illustration of its information focus-sensitive framework of data annotation. In particular, it discusses MA student users’ perceptions of the system as shown in a questionnaire survey and the possibilities of improvement and further development.
