Abstract

Based on data from China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and Web of Science (WoS), this study focuses on the development of supply chains in the context of the 21st-century Maritime Silk Road (MSR). Using CiteSpace, the bibliometric software, a visual analysis of knowledge graph mapping is conducted to comprehensively analyze research hotspots in the MSR supply chain literature, providing theoretical support and practical guidance for future research directions and decision-making. Since 2013, research on the MSR supply chain has shown rapid growth and has now stabilized. The collaboration network among authors and institutions in CNKI literature appears decentralized, while the WoS literature shows a centrality, mainly concentrated at significant nodes along the road, but less attention is paid to inland areas. Popular themes include the Belt and Road initiative, shipping networks, port management, and industrial cooperation. Future research is recommended to focus on digital transformation and supply chain transparency, sustainable development and green supply chains, as well as supply chain resilience and risk management.
