Dr. Mian Zhou is a Senior Associate Professor at the School of AI and Advanced Computing, XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang), Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. With a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Reading, and extensive experience in both academia and industry, he has cultivated expertise in artificial intelligence, machine vision, and intelligent autonomous technologies. Dr. Zhou has successfully led numerous high-impact research projects funded by esteemed organizations, such as the NSFC and the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, resulting in groundbreaking contributions to AI-based network security, blockchain technology, and human action recognition. A prolific researcher with publications in top-tier journals and conferences, he is also a recipient of prestigious awards, including the First Prize at the Multi-Target Multi-Camera Tracking Challenge. His innovative teaching methods and strong leadership skills continue to inspire the next generation of AI professionals.

- Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition: Investigating innovative approaches for object detection, human action recognition, and semantic scene understanding using deep learning and vision-based techniques.
- Blockchain and Data Security: Exploring secure, decentralized frameworks for data sharing and collaboration in social governance and network security.
- Reinforcement Learning and Autonomous Systems: Designing adaptive algorithms for real-time decision-making and optimization in intelligent autonomous technologies.
