David (Yulong) is the senior associate professor of International Business. He holds a BMSE (Management Science & Engineering), MMGT, and a PhD. His research interests include international business, technology innovation, and strategy. David has over 50 refereed academic outputs, among which over 20 research articles have appeared in ABDC-A*/A-ranked journals with high ISI, e.g., International Business Review, International Journal of Production Economics, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Global Information Management, Journal of Enterprise Information Management, Journal of Service Theory and Practice, Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics, and Long Range Planning.
David was a Director of AI & Digital Business Research Group at Massey Business School, Massey University, New Zealand. He has been serving as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Management and Organization (SSCI); International Journal of Information Technology Project Management, and a special issue editor for several international academic journals. He is a member of the Editorial Boards for the Journal of Business Research (ABDC 'A'); Journal of Global Information Management (ABDC 'A'); Journal of Management and Organization (SSCI); FinTech Journal. He has served as track chair, e.g., Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management (2022 and 2023 ANZAM) and session chair, invited speaker at several international conferences. David has been invited and currently serves as an Ad Hoc reviewer for a wide range of leading ABDC A*/A-ranked international journals.
David holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching and Learning (PGCertTTL) and a Fellowship (FHEA, Fellow of the Higher Education Academy). He has taught a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various teaching delivery modes, e.g., about Innovation and New Ventures; Technology Governance and Risk Management; Operational Management; International Supply Chain Management; Managing Organisations; Business Ethics; International Business; Growing Multinational Enterprises. He is actively involved in graduate-level supervision, including Masters and PhD supervision, and has supervised more than 17 postgraduate students, including research Masters students and two PhD candidates to successful completion.
