Dr Shane Lo Fan Hin joined XJTLU in July 2022 after spending over 11 years at the University of Sussex. Before joining the University of Sussex, Shane has worked in the department of Chemistry at the University of Liverpool as the Ogden Science officer in the Schoolslab. During that time, Shane has developed and delivered workshops to secondary school pupils. Shane graduated from the University of Liverpool, with an MChem degree in chemistry with industrial chemistry and a PhD under the joint supervision of Prof. Helen C. Aspinall and Prof. Nick Greeves. While at the University of Sussex, Shane has taught chemistry from Foundation level (FHEQ level 3) to undergraduate Year 3 (FHEQ level 6). Shane has also supervised MChem project students and has been the recipient of several teaching awards.
