Personal profile

Ms. Mengqi Hu is currently a language lecturer of School of Languages at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU). Before coming to XJTLUs ELC, she was an English teacher in the higher education. Ms. Hu obtained her Master from the University of Durham, Translation Studies. She has taught a range of courses on Business English, English Proficiency, Intercultural Communications, EAP for Year 1 and Year 2 programmes and has supported Final Year Project, departmental modules lectures for more than 10 years.

Research interests

She is interested in exploring and applying innovative uses of AR/VR technologies in both teaching and research. She believes that interactive and immersive VR technologies that can engage students with authentic learning environments will enhance both digital literacy and learning autonomy for all stakeholders.
