Personal profile
I studied English Literature for my Bachelors Degree at Xiamen University. After graduation, I carried my passion for English to a teaching job at a language center where I prepared middle/high school students for their university studies abroad. Having developed interest in teaching, I then decided to move on to the field of education by studying for a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction at University of Wisconsin-Madison. During the period, I taught English to 7th-Graders in an American public school. From my teaching experience in a multi-cultural environment, I have formed some of my key teaching principles. First, I value student voice in curriculum design; second, I believe in the power of mutual feedback; finally, I see maximizing students opportunities to participate in class as a goal that every teacher fostering social justice should strive to achieve.
