Personal profile

Dr. Ki-Young Song received his Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Canada, in 2011. Following his doctoral degree, he held postdoctoral positions in the Mechanical Engineering at the University of Tokyo, Japan, from 2012 to 2014, and in the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics at Karolinska Institutet, Sweden, from 2015 to 2017. Before joining XJTLU, he served as an Associate Professor in the School of Mechatronic Engineering at Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), China, from 2018 to 2024. His research interests include soft robotics, additive manufacturing, microsystems, intelligent control, and system design.
