Dr. Gordon Owusu Boateng is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Communications and Networking, School of Advanced Technology (SAT), at XJTLU. He received his Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi-Ghana, in 2014. He received his M.Eng. degree and Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Technology from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), in 2019 and 2023, respectively. He was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Hybrid Positioning Research Group (HPRG), UESTC, from 2023 to 2024, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the KU 6G Research Center, Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi, from 2024 to 2025. From 2014 to 2016, he worked as a Site Engineer (contractor) for Ericsson (Ghana) and TIGO (Ghana). Till now, Gordon has co-authored over 40 SCI papers in top journals such as IEEE COMST, IEEE TMC, IEEE TVT, IEEE TNSM, IEEE TSC, IEEE IoT-J, IEEE COMMAG, IEEE Systems Journal, Elsevier's JNCA and FGCS. He has also published and presented at top conference venues such as IEEE INFOCOM and IEEE GLOBECOM. Dr. Gordon is a peer-reviewer for more than 40 IEEE, Elsevier, and ACM journals. He is currently a Guest Editor for the Special Issue: Positioning and Sensing Technologies for Ubiquitous Mobile Intelligence at MDPI Sensors.

Dr. Gordon's research interests include 5G/6G wireless networks, automated valet parking (AVP), large language models (LLMs), reinforcement learning, vehicular networks, target positioning, blockchain technology, and game theory.
