Unique Contraptions: Capturing Ephemerality

Activity: Participating in or organising an eventOrganising an event e.g. a conference, workshop, …

Description

Our senses are triggered by bursts of energy or quiet still moments. It has much to do with the experience within the space and time. Within that space and time, the occurrences are rather fleeting. A sunset, a sunrise, a full moon and the effervescent stars. The senses are most in tune and ignited by these ephemeral occurrences that happen just a few moments in a day. Hikers would hike in the deep night to reach the heights of the mountains for that short momentous sunrise. Children would gather their buckets and nets to wait for low tide to look at aliens in the tidepools. These moments evoke emotion and are experienced within a certain space and a certain time.
How do we, as architecture students attempt to capture these moments architecturally?
