Abstract

A worldwide epidemic caused by a newly discovered coronavirus shocked the global economic violently and the vaccine is still in development. To prevent this disaster, understand the pathological features and the spread pathway of this virus is necessary. The aim of this paper is to discuss the transmission process of NCV from animal to human and its several possible intermediate hosts. According to the preliminary study, pangolin may be the intermediate host of the virus. However, considering that there were not enough wild animal samples collected in South China seafood market in the early stage of the outbreak, more research is needed to support this conclusion.
