Abstract

Resource utilization is a significant approach to address the problem of construction waste and the government plays a key role in this process through financial policies. This paper proposes a model by using game theory to discuss how the government can use financial subsidies to motivate the contractor to utilize the construction waste. The best subsidy level of the government is worked out through finding the Nash equilibrium point between the government and the contractor. The research result can provide a reference for policy makers to design and optimize the subsidy policy on resource utilization of construction waste.
