Abstract

This article features a compact four-port dual-band Co-Planar Waveguide (CPW) rectenna. The two bands (2-3 GHz) and (5-6.5 GHz) of the proposed antenna are cover the standard WI-FI bands (2.412-2.484 GHz) and WLAN bands (5.745-5.825 GHz). The gain of the proposed antenna is 3.72 dBi at 2.4 GHz and 3.73 dBi at 5.8 GHz. A double voltage rectifying circuit with a load of 6.2 kΩ is designed to achieve relatively high power conversion efficiency. When the input power is 0 dBm, the proposed rectifier can achieve RF-to-DC efficiencies of 66% at 2.4 GHz and 58% at 5.8 GHz. The combined output voltage can reach to 10 V, which is suitable for wireless charging in Internet of Things (IoT) applications.
