Abstract

The end-user computing satisfaction (EUCS) instrument developed by Doll and Torkzadeh is commonly used to evaluate the effectiveness of information systems. This instrument had been validated in different types of information systems before. It is a good tradition and practice to validate the EUCS instrument again before it is used for an invalidated type of information system. Group decision support systems (GDSS) have a potential to support and augment group decision making performance for business organizations. End-user satisfaction is one of the key factors influencing the adoption and diffusion of GDSS in organization. As a result, EUCS is one of the most important dependent variables that are being considered in GDSS research and practice. However, the EUCS instrument has not been specifically validated in GDSS. Therefore, this paper intends to bridge this gap by validating the EUCS instrument in GDSS.
