Abstract

This article presents a compact multi-band antenna designed for multi-functionality. The overall size of the antenna is 32×22×1.57 mm3, which covers the one Industrial Scientific Medical band (2.45 GHz), WiMAX (3.5 GHz) and two 5G bands (4.5 GHz and 5.2 GHz) with bandwidths of 210 MHz (2.39-3.6 GHz), 130 MHz (3.45 3.58 GHz) and 950 MHz (4.38-5.33 GHz). Steady omni-directional radiation patterns are achieved and the simulated realized gains are 2.11 dB, 1.77 dB, 1.98 dB, and 3.86 dB at 2.45 GHz, 3.5 GHz, 4.5 GHz, and 5.2 GHz respectively. The proposed multi-band antenna could be a potential candidate for WPAN applications.
