Dr. Izhar Oswaldo Escudero Ornelas is a distinguished academic and professional with a wealth of experience in the fields of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering, IoT, CAD, Discrete Event Simulation, Artificial Intelligence, and Control Systems. He holds a PhD in Automatic Control and Systems Engineering from the University of Sheffield, UK, where his research focused on modeling interdependencies across a shop floor manufacturing process involving deformable materials.
Dr. Escudero Ornelas has a strong educational background, having graduated with a Merit from the MSc in Manufacturing Systems Engineering and Management program at the University of Warwick, UK. He also holds a BSc in Industrial Engineering from the Institute of Technology Pachuca (ITP) in Mexico, where he achieved first-class honors and excelled in academic excellence.
Throughout his academic journey, he has demonstrated a commitment to innovation, developing and implementing cutting-edge simulation methods to enhance production performance and reduce costs. Dr. Escudero Ornelas is also an experienced educator, having served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Sheffield and a Tutor at the AMRC Training Centre, where he delivered high-quality instruction in engineering subjects. He has a proven track record in communication, having presented research findings at national and international conferences and prepared written materials such as research proposals and journal articles.
His leadership and teamwork skills have been honed through collaborations with industry partners, government agencies, and other research institutions.
