Dr. Ma received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Southern California in 2018 and currently serves as an Assistant Professor at IBSS, XJTLU. Prior to Joining IBSS, she worked at the School of Economics and Institute for Advanced Research at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. Her research passions encompass health economics, development economics, labor economics, and the economics of happiness. Her work has appeared in peer-review journals, such as Social Science and Medicine, Demography, Economics and Human Biology, Economic Development and Cultural Change, and Journal of Health Economics.
