Dr. Lu Huang is a Research Fellow at HeXie Management Research Centre, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. Lu’s research focuses on exploitative fields of strategic management, innovation management and open innovation; as well as explorative frontiers such as business ecosystem and digital/intelligent transformation. Her research is characterized by multi-disciplinary and cross-perspective, targeting at real-world management problem-solving. She completed her PhD in Marketing at University of Strathclyde (UK). She presented a theoretical paper on organizational ambidexterity and dynamic capability at World Open Innovation Conference (WOIC 2016). Apart from academia, Lu has extensive industrial consulting project experience, in both China and UK. Prior to joining XJTLU, she worked as a Corporate Innovation Manager, delivering consulting projects on industry analysis, start-up scouting for CVC and corporate innovation research. Parallel to conducting her PhD research, she participated as a project member along two multi-disciplinary open innovation projects, offering consulting services to large companies of various industries (private and public) operating in Scotland.
