N2 - This article has been retracted: please see Elsevier Policy on Article Withdrawal (https://www.elsevier.com/about/our-business/policies/article-withdrawal). This article has been retracted at the request of the Editors as the validity of the results from Figures 3b, 3c and 10a cannot be guaranteed. The spectral noise from Figures 3b, 3c and 10a appears similar to the noise of spectra from other papers published by the authors: Figures 3b, 3c and 10a of the article published by the Materials Science in Semiconductor Processing 125 (2021) 105651 https://doi.org/10.1016/j.mssp.2020.105651, Figures 3b, 3c and 8a of the article published by the Journal of Colloid and Interface Science 587 (2021) 538–549 https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jcis.2020.11.011 and Figures 5b, 5c and 13a of the article published by Separation and Purification Technology Article-in-Press (2021) 118511 https://doi.org/10.1016/j.seppur.2021.118511, despite the fact that they purportedly described distinct materials. Also, the spectral noise from Figure 10a appears similar to the noise of spectra from Figure 7c of the article that was published by the authors in the Journal of the Taiwan Institute of Chemical Engineers 118 (2021) 140–151 https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jtice.2021.01.012. Although the journal has previously published a correction, the authors were not able to provide a reasonable explanation for the spectral noise similarity and the Editors decided to retract the article.
