abstract = "Power line communication (PLC) has received much attention recently because of the need of reliable and automatic metering, In this paper we present a comprehensive study over the use of PLC in China. We begin with some background including the distribution grid topology, the power line channel environments, and the deployment of PLC network. Then we show some field test results of PLC-based meter-reading in a high frequency band. In addition, a suggestion how to improve G3-PLC is presented which can adapt China grid better.",
