Abstract
Curation and narrative design for VR-AR live art performance. This highly innovative project blends XR technology, performance in XR, narrative design, and curation as a creative methodology. This practice research was exhibited at a high-stakes cultural institution in China and beyond, the Hanshan Art Museum. The museum in the past exhibited internationally praised programs, such as soundscape of Suzhou, etc. Hanshan also collaborated with numerous international institutions and funding parties, such as the Swiss Foundation and British cultural foundation.
Additionally, the project received generous funding for venue costs up to 300,000.00 RMB. Lastly, the events generated substantial cultural impacts. The four performances were completely booked out. The events were also reported by local media platforms such as Art JN, etc.
