Abstract
MMDP model is a good traffic model in ATM networks, however, the parameters of general MMDP model can not be gotten easily. A new parameter method to deal with this problem is proposed. It may be used to model the traffics with the given distribution and exponential autocorrelation function. It is shown that this method works well by some experiments.
